Three groups:
True believers: Need to take the next step. In danger of apathy
Intellectually convinced, but have not made a full commitment.
Those attracted to the gospel, but may not be truly convinced about Jesus

Two primarily things necessary in drawing near to God:
Keeping clear in our minds that Jesus is the way to the inner room
Faith -- Simply looking to Jesus. Hebrews 12: 2a Hebrews 3: 1
God desires to communicate
Hebrews 10: 19 - 24
Be obedient in what the Holy Spirit reveals. Keep moving.

Backward steps are difficult to recover from and even impossible in some cases
