We have seen the chasm…. The river is too wide

C. We have been declared righteous, by faith, and have Joyous peace with God
Romans 5:1
Therefore … Now we are on the other side of the impossibly wide chasm
No anger or punishment coming for our sin - we have righteousness

Romans 5:2
We have this place of acceptance by God into His grace by faith – and we will soon find out this is the same way we live over here – by faith

D. Rejoicing in the fruit of suffering and the assurance of eternal life
Romans 5:3 – 5Trials remind us and teach us to persevere in this faith

Fight the good fight of faith 1 Tim 2:18 – 19,1 Tim 4:7, 1 Peter 1:6 – 8,Psalm 62:8
Desperation and it feels like God is oblivious to your pain.
Or you may feel God is faithful in some areas of your life and not in others?

Will you fight for your faith? Will you get back up? Will you keep the faith?
2 Peter 1:5 – 8, Gal 2:20 – 21 Faith, the key to Jesus living through us.

E. Assurance of God’s love for us
Romans 5:6 – 8 Ever doubt God’s love for you? God loved you even before you were imputed with the righteousness of Christ!

Romans 5: 9 – 11
We have experienced God’s purpose for mankind… reconciled to God!
We can be absolutely certain we have atonement – oneness with God

G. Assurance of the deliverance of sin and death because we are no longer in Adam but in Christ
Romans 5:12 In Adam there is no hope for deliverance but we are in Christ

H. Just as one act of sin brought condemnation for all, one act of righteousness brought justification for all.
